The Sacramento Police Department collected 112 fired cartridge cases from the 2022 K Street shooting scene and booked 282 items into evidence, according to a forensic investigator who testified in court Friday. Kacie Louie described the different types of evidence she processed, including clothing, that were at the scene of the April 3 shooting that left six dead and hurt 12 others. Brothers Smiley and Dandrae Martin, and Mtula Payton, are the three accused gunmen. Sacramento police detectives also testified Friday during the continuation of the preliminary hearing for the case.
