Arrest made after woman found dead near Loaves & Fishes, Sacramento police say

The Sacramento Police Department said it arrested a man in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found outside a longtime homeless service provider. Kevin Birdsong, 54, faces a homicide charge and is ineligible for bail, jail records show. Officers say they arrested him Tuesday evening and booked him into the Sacramento County jail.
